I will be playing a show
with very special guest Old Thyme Eskimo at Strange Brew
Coffee House in Greenwood, Indiana to celebrate the
release of a new collection of recordings titled, "Goodnight
Nobody".
Joel Rockey, among other
things, is a minstrel of songs
crafted under the influence of a musical pantheon. He spins yarns of
brokenness, redemption, and the embrace of redemption amid the ashes of
brokenness. From the year Twenty Ought One onward he has been recording and
distributing collections of songs from The Mustard Room which has served
as his laboratory since the beginning. He has written dozens
of songs and released a dozen albums in the popular compact disc format.
While often utilizing a plethora of instrumentation during recording,
Mr. Rockey typically performs live with the accompaniment of a guitar,
ukulele, harmonica and the occasional tambourine. He has, however, been
known to recruit and perform with friends from time to time under such
monikers as Flying J & The Pilots, Penguins of the Horse Kingdom, and
Aunt Arctica.
If you would like for Joel to attend your
hootenanny and sing some songs, give him a holler via the following
